KT Studio’s The Piketon Massacre podcast series is the jumping off point for a television documentary series set to air Thanksgiving weekend on Oxygen. Produced by KT Studios, “The Pike County Murders: A Family Massacre” focuses on the questions surrounding how and why eight members of the Rhoden family were murdered on a single night in April 2016.

The Piketon Massacre podcast, a coproduction with iHeartPodcasts, debuted in 2020. It took listeners to rural Pike County, OH where four crime scenes were discovered. It led to the arrest of a local family of four, the Wagners, who were charged with committing the largest massacre in Ohio’s history. The podcast looked at the crime-scene forensics, and the ties that bind the victims and the accused.

The three-part documentary series on Oxygen will air in back-to-back episodes on Friday, Nov. 25 and Saturday, Nov. 26. KT Studios’ Stephanie Lydecker and Catharine Park are executive producers. The company earlier produced the true crime “Murdered and Missing in Montana” series for Peacock.
