Ad-supported video streamer Tubi partners with Premier Networks “The Breakfast Club” to bring the nationally syndicated radio show and podcast to Tubi viewers.
The deal marks the first time “The Breakfast Club” will be available as video-on-demand with a dedicated FAST channel featuring the greatest moments from episodes and original short-form content. “Best of” moments are already available. The FAST channel will launch in February. All the content is free.
“The Breakfast Club,” which iHeart says has a global reach of six million monthly listeners, features DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Jess Hilarious.
“The Breakfast Club has become a beacon of popular culture for millions in America on air, online, and socially,” John Sykes, President of Entertainment Enterprises for iHeartMedia, says in a news release. “This new partnership with Tubi extends the reach of this iconic franchise to new TV audiences everywhere.”
“The Breakfast Club” originates from iHeartMedia urban contemporary “Power 105.1” WWPR-FM New York. It’s nationally syndicated on more than 100 stations nationwide and is also a leading iHeartPodcast available on iHeartRadio and everywhere podcasts are heard.
The Radio Hall of Famers also host “Weekends with The Breakfast Club,” a three-hour weekly program featuring a countdown of the top 20 hits of the week.
“‘The Breakfast Club’ transcends morning shows with honest conversations at the heart of culture,” said Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer, Tubi, which is owned by Fox Corporation. “At the core of our partnership with iHeartMedia is a shared interest in content that reflects culture and a passion to bring this influential and entertaining show to Tubi’s massive audience for even more fans to discover.”
