Taylor Swift was honored with the 2023 iHeartRadio Innovator Award and also took home the Song of the Year Award for “Anti-Hero” at last night’s iHeartRadio Music Awards.
The star-studded show was broadcast across iHeartMedia stations nationwide from LA’s Dolby Theater with a telecast on Fox TV. The program can be streamed on Hulu through April 17.
P!NK opened the show, now in its tenth year, with a truly acrobatic performance of "Trustfall," from her album of the same name. She was also presented with the 2023 iHeartRadio Icon award.
Hosted by Lenny Kravitz, the annual awards presentation featured a special appearance from LL Cool J and performances and collaborations from Kravitz, Kelly Clarkson, Keith Urban, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Latto, Muni Long, Cody Johnson, and Coldplay, among others.
Clarkson, Benatar, and Giraldo all helped honor this year's Icon Award Recipient, P!NK, with covers of two of her biggest hits; Jax, Johnson, Muni Long, and Giovannie and The Hired Guns came together in a multi-genre performance among the Infinity Best New Artists. LL Cool Jay’s performance recognized hip-hop’s 50th anniversary and Kravitz performed a medley of his hits.
In addition to Swift, award winners included Harry Styles (Artist of the year), Imagine Dragons (Best Duo/Group of the Year); Sam Smith, and Kim Petras “Unholy” (Best Collaboration).
