Media Monitors: Wireless Companies Verizon, T-Mobile Gain; Progressive Still On Top.

Two key advertisers in the Wireless Carrier category were the biggest gainers on Media Monitors’ weekly list of top radio advertisers by spot count.


During the week of Nov. 11-17, 2024, Verizon Wireless (38,179) surged all the way to No. 6 on the overall list, up from No. 23 the prior week; and T-Mobile (37,941) climbed to No. 7 — up from No. 39 a week earlier.


Insurer Progressive topped the overall list for the eighth straight week. The prolific radio advertiser recorded 54,908 plays and hasn’t been out of the top spot since the week of Sept. 23-29, a time when Pfizer was engaged in a substantial radio advertising blitz.


Meanwhile, spot counts remained robust in the Home Centers & Hardware Stores space, with Home Depot second overall with 53,259 and Lowe’s third with 50,210.


For the week of Nov. 11-17, 2024, the top 10 companies on Media Monitors’ list of top radio advertisers include: Progressive, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, eBay, Vicks, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Discover, ZipRecruiter and Babbel.
