'Good Moms, Bad Choices’ Joins The Black Effect Podcast Network.

The Black Effect Podcast Network is adding Good Moms, Bad Choices to its podcast lineup. The series, hosted by unapologetic single moms Jamilah Mapp and Erica Dickerson, says its goal is to remind women that they can be a good mom despite not fitting the “perfect mom” standard as they redefine what modern womanhood truly looks like.

The series debuted in 2018 in Dickerson’s dining room while their kids played in the other room. In the years since, the podcast has built a loyal following with candid conversations about not only the ups and downs of being a mother, but also issues related to mental health, sexuality and intimacy, spirituality, and unconventional lifestyles. On the show, Black Effect says Mapp brings “wild woman energy” and intelligent witty banter, while Dickerson balances it with “sharp sarcasm” and grounded perspective.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Good Moms, Bad Choices to the Black Effect Podcast Network,” Dollie S. Bishop, President, The Black Effect Podcast Network, says in the announcement. “Erica and Milah bring an authenticity to the conversation about motherhood that is so refreshing — real and unapologetic. We’re excited for our listeners to experience their no-holds-barred approach to modern motherhood.”

In addition to the podcast, Mapp and Dickerson have also created the annual “The Good Vibe Retreat” live event. Described as the ultimate girls’ trip, it combines relaxation, personal growth, and endless fun. The 2025 event will be held next month in Costa Rica, with a couples’ retreat planned for June.

New episodes of Good Moms, Bad Choices are released each Wednesday. The Black Effect Podcast Network is a joint venture of iHeartMedia and Charlamagne Tha God.
