Actors Ben Stiller and Adam Scott are teaming up to host a new podcast that will offer a behind the scenes look at the Apple TV+ series “Severance.” The men, who are both executive producers of the television series, will rewatch the first season of the show and share in-depth, never-before-heard analysis ahead of the debut of the second season. Once season two debuts, they will offer weekly insights as fresh episodes roll out.
“We have severed ourselves from the world for five years making this show,” Stiller and Scott say in a joint statement. “While we have no memory of what happened during that time, we thought we should do a podcast for all the ‘Innies’ who will have no recollection of watching, in an attempt to reintegrate them with their memory of the show.”
The Severance Podcast will feature an episode-by-episode, behind-the-scenes breakdown of the show, conducted with the creators, cast, crew, and fans. Season one guests include “Severance” creator Dan Erickson, executive producer Jackie Cohn, and stars Zach Cherry (Dylan), John Turturro (Irving), and Britt Lower (Helly). Superfans including television host Jon Stewart will also appear as guests. The podcast will then provide weekly insights throughout the second season.
The podcast is produced by Audacy Podcasts, in partnership with Red Hour and Great Scott. Audacy’s Pineapple Street Studios previously created television show companion podcasts including HBO’s Succession Podcast, HBO’s The Last of Us Podcast, The Chernobyl Podcast, The Official Hacks Podcast; HBO’s The Official Game of Thrones Podcast: House of the Dragon; Apple TV+’s Foundation: The Official Podcast, and Amazon’s The Official The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Podcast.

“Severance” is set at Lumon Industries, a company whose employees have undergone a medical procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. Scott plays the leader of a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided. In the show, the group is on a journey to discover the truth about their jobs — and themselves.
The Severance Podcast will debut today (Jan. 7), with the first two episodes. New episodes of season one will then be released daily on weekdays through Jan. 16. Season two of the podcast will launch on Jan. 17, immediately following the premiere on Apple TV+. New episodes of the podcast will be released weekly on Fridays throughout the season.
