Actor, stand-up comedian, writer, and director, Chelsea Peretti is not new to podcasting. She is, however, new to podcast advertising. When her long-running comedy series Call Chelsea Peretti relaunches from a three-year hiatus, it will be part of Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players Podcast Network – and it will feature more than just Peretti and listener calls.
“I'm thrilled to join the Big Money Players network. I never ran ads on my original podcast, so I'm beyond excited to share my take on corporate sponsorship with my fans,” said Peretti in a statement.
Call Chelsea Peretti previously ran from 2012 to 2020. Similar to the original format of the long-running podcast, Peretti will continue to take phone calls from listeners but now with an added new element of expert guest interviews. Upcoming episodes will feature experts including Dr. David Langer, neurosurgeon and star of Netflix's "Emergency NYC" and "Lenox Hill," a Tahoe bear attack survivor, a couple that transformed their lawn into a vibrant wildflower garden, and a shocking episode on geese attacks, making a compelling case that geese might just be the most dangerous creatures on the planet.
In this new iteration, Peretti will also introduce new elements into the show, including video clips, expert guest interviews, and in-studio explorations of viral recipes and makeup looks.
Founded by Will Ferrell and iHeartMedia, Big Money Players will add Call Chelsea Peretti to its growing portfolio of comedy podcasts. That includes Ferrell’s own The Ron Burgundy Podcast, Films To Be Buried With hosted by Brett Goldstein, Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, The Nikki Glaser Podcast, Poog with Kate Berlant and Jacqueline Novak, and Straightiolab from George Civeris and Sam Taggart.
Call Chelsea Peretti’s new season debuts Nov. 9. All Big Money Players podcasts are executive produced by Will Ferrell and iHeartMedia.
