Adam Carolla’s New Podcast Will Be Only For His Substack Subscribers.

Adam Carolla, who has been podcasting since 2009, is making his first play on the subscription field. Carolla is launching a new podcast that will be exclusive to the Adam Carolla Show Substack. Called Beat It Out, the show will pair Carolla with fellow comedian Jay Mohr. Paid subscribers to Carolla’s Substack will have full access to Beat It Out, as well as ad-free and video content for all new episodes of The Adam Carolla ShowThe Adam and Dr. Drew Show, and Carolla Classics podcasts.

Subscribers will also receive an exclusive newsletter, access to archival content and be the first to experience planned live recording sessions and live chats.

The Adam Carolla Show has had more than 700 million downloads.

PodcastOne announced last December that it had signed a new four-year deal that will keep Carolla as part of its network. It says the new Substack effort “further strengthens” the 15-years-long relationship between PodcastOne and Carolla, who has been with the network since its inception in 2009.

“Podcasting remains the most exciting and fastest-growing medium in entertainment and we’re always thrilled when we can exhibit content in new ways and across new channels reaching fans like never before,” Podcast One President Kit Gray said. “Our use of Substack allows PodcastOne and Adam Carolla to uniquely package exclusive content to the most passionate of podcast listeners.”

Beat It Out, which has quietly been releasing episodes since August, also marks a podcasting return for Mohr. He previously hosted the long-running and fan favorite podcast Mohr Stories and Mohr Sports from Los Angeles through his Fake Mustache Studios. PodcastOne says the new show will be a “comedic” journey with Carolla and Mohr, as they take ideas, concepts, prompts and more to showcase how stand-up material is conceived, fleshed out and polished for live performances.
